Dear ARF Community Members and Attendees,

I am excited to share that we have secured a contract for the American Reading Forum 2024 annual conference with Sunseeker Resort in Charlotte Harbor, Florida. This is a brand-new resort with multiple pools and restaurants on site. We think members will be very pleased with this location—and thrilled that ARF 2024 is moving forward!

 

Please review this essential information to plan your travel to ARF 2024:

• The room rates at Sunseeker $199.00 per night for standard double, or $239.00 per night for harbor view. This is inclusive of the resort fee. The cut-off date for room block reservations is November 18. Book your room on Sunseeker's website, or call 1-833-914-7300 to reserve your room with reference to the American Reading Forum room block. • Conference registration has not gone up from last year; it is $240 if you register by November 12 (after that, it goes up to $265).

• Sunseeker Resort is approximately 40 min. south of the Southwest Florida International Airport (Fort Myers, FL) and 1 hr. 35 min. south of the Tampa International Airport.

• If you plan to bring a vehicle, parking is $7 per day. 

 

A few members have already booked their flights to Tampa and are looking to establish a carpool/rideshare to make the trip from TPA to Sunseeker. If you are interested in contributing to or supporting that effort, please let us know.
